I joined Valerie Grubb’s program to enhance my leadership skills and attain skills to change my management style into more of a mentorship style for my team. The group sessions were my favorite, I was able to share experiences with other leaders with different backgrounds throughout different organizations. It was helpful to see that all the tools being provided were applicable in the different fields. I was able to tickle down a lot of the coaching I received from Val down to my team, the main one was accountability. Val helped me understand that accountability is not negative or punitive, instead a conversation to get input as to why decisions are made and what next steps will be taken to fix an issue. I recommend this program because Val uses your experience to tailor her coaching during 1:1 meeting but aligns the cohort during group sessions and allows you to see the hurdles you are coming across in a different perspective. I am extremely thankful for this opportunity, managing my team feels easier and I have been able to see them step in and take more leadership in their roles.
